The InterContinental Marseille \u2013 Hotel Dieu is working in conjunction with the BeMed<\/a> association to remove single-use plastics from the hotel. We have reviewed and redesigned the provision of complimentary bathroom products and single use water bottles will be disappearing little by little from the hotel. If you have children, a welcome kit can be provided at reception \u2013 plastic free of course!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Your complimentary refreshments tray<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have redesigned the complimentary refreshments tray to eliminate the plastic. The tea bags and sugar sachets that we offer are now made of paper. The sachets of hot chocolate are no longer supplied, however do not hesitate to ask room service for hot chocolate. This will be offered in exchange for a voucher (up to two per day). Fresh milk is also available on request from the room service.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Filtered water to quench your thirst<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only 59% of plastic bottles are actually recycled. To avoid them ending up on our beaches, let\u2019s reduce our consumption. We are pleased to offer you bottles of filtered water we change daily rather than plastic bottles. We made this transition in suites, event areas, and spa. We hope to be able to implement this in more of our hotel areas soon!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

More unpackaged food at the buffet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food packaging is one of the most common types of litter found on Mediterranean beaches. Limiting the way we use them allows us to help protecting environment. From now on, instead of individually packaged butter or sugar and nylon tea bags, you will find pats of butter and loose tea at the buffet, as well as a sugar bowl at your table.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Kit Minot gets reinvented : plastic toys and packaging disappear to be replaced by colored pencils, a wooden yoyo, and a little notebook. All you need to have fun without polluting the sea ! The plastic bag of sweets also went on holiday : instead, a big jar of sweets is waiting for children at the reception. If you fancy a sweet break, do not hesitate to ask, the receptionists will be happy to help you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Complimentary toiletries are available<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of our customers come with their own toiletries, which is why we now offer complimentary toiletries on request. This allows us to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic items while continuing to offer you this service as and when you require it. To obtain items please contact the reception or room service. You will be able to choose the individual products you require, and without plastic packaging! The InterContinental Marseille \u2013 Hotel Dieu is also working on more toiletries upgrades : environment-friendly products will be offered soon for razor, toothbrush, and comb.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
