The KoussKouss Festival: Mediterranean Flavours Come to InterContinental Marseille – Hotel Dieu

From 21 August to 6 September 2026, Marseille will host the 9th edition of the KoussKouss Festival, a must-attend event celebrating couscous and, this year, aromatic herbs.

Mint, basil, coriander… These familiar plants come in a multitude of varieties, bringing unique nuances to every recipe. For this new edition, chefs, artists and culinary figures from Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria are invited to bring their traditions and expertise together around these iconic ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine.

A Creation by Our Chef

For the occasion, our Chef Arnaud Davin and his brigade are taking part in the festival with an original creation: lamb cromesquis with candied fruits and semolina, aromatic herbs and piquillo coulis, priced at €15.

A creation inspired by Mediterranean influences, available now on the menu at our restaurant, Les Fenêtres and Capian bar.

The festival will also feature a major celebration on 29 August, with the Kouss Kouss de l’Été Marseillais, taking place at Place Villeneuve Bargemon.

For the occasion, the City of Marseille, in partnership with the Marseille Tourist and Convention Bureau, invites the public to enjoy 5,000 servings of couscous in a festive and musical atmosphere.

A wonderful opportunity to come together over generous, traditional cuisine and celebrate the ties that unite the different cultures of the Mediterranean.
