The Mediterranean Garden, our new convivial place
We’re delighted to introduce you to our new place, full of charm and conviviality!
Located on the terraces below the Hôtel Dieu, the new Mediterranean Garden by InterContinental is an authentic immersion in the local art of living: starting with a game of pétanque, the region’s emblematic sport, played with La Boule Bleue x InterContinental equipment of course, in a warm and sunny atmosphere, accompanied by a Ricard aperitif, partner of this new venue.
The Mediterranean Garden is also home to several beehives, allowing us to produce our own exceptional house-made honey, served each morning at breakfast.
The garden also features aromatic herbs, grown on-site and used by our chefs to bring extra freshness and flavor to our dishes.
Finally, bird perches have been installed to allow visitors to discreetly observe the many bird species that frequent this peaceful green haven.
This new setting is the ideal place to enjoy an authentic, typically Marseille moment.
Access is complimentary for hotel guests or available for private bookings by small groups—for family gatherings, get-togethers with friends, or after-work events.
To book a 1.5-hour time slot, simply stop by the Capian Bar on the same day to make your reservation, pick up pétanque equipment, and select a drink from the menu if desired.
