"Vues sur mer" exhibition by Gwendoline Pieters

We are delighted to present our new exhibition:

“Sea Views”

by artist Gwendoline Pieters.

A free exhibition open to the public, located in the hotel lobby, on display until June 30.

“Sea Views” is a series of works inspired by the luminous and vibrant landscapes of the Mediterranean. The exhibition invites visitors on a sensory journey through abstraction, light, and the memory of form.

Gwendoline Pieters’ works celebrate the natural beauty of the Cassis region, with depictions of the sea, beaches, and surrounding landscapes. She seeks to capture the essence of nature untouched by civilization, offering a soothing and authentic vision of her environment.

A painter and illustrator, born in 1969 in Cassis, she is passionate about forms and colors—their language, their codes, their vibrations, and their secret truths. A great admirer of Fauvism, positioned at the crossroads of realism and neo-Provençal style, her sensitivity naturally draws her to all things connected to beauty, especially the heartfelt beauty of nature. Bathed in the exuberant Mediterranean sun, intoxicated by light to the point of ecstasy, she draws inspiration from the edge of balance—from the preservation of a perfect natural order that only holds meaning in the present moment.

This exhibition is part of the new Concierge Gallery concept by InterContinental, with our Marseille location serving as the pilot project. The Concierge Gallery hosts regular exhibition projects, creative workshops with local partners, as well as product displays for sale reflecting the hotel’s lifestyle and identity. The Concierge area has been redesigned with an elegant and minimalist style, including a large central table to encourage friendly exchanges between guests and the team, passionately led by our Chief Concierge, Gold Chef Véronique Boillot.
